How are we paying for MRT ushers?

So only Singaporeans will qualify

give every singaporean ,post O level or NS ,a token of $600. Then the person can pursue anything he like. Maybe into arts or wanna do his own food concept or be part of the gig economy

Maybe in this way Singaporeans won’t be whining foreigners are taking their jobs. Cos they are assured of some money and if they work they can further get salary and CPF. So definitely better package than foreigners doing the same job.

Also more sinkie will volunteer to do grass cutting,construction ,garbage disposal kind of jobs since UBI will make up for the low wages of the said job nature

If you calculated , they probably paying lots of money monthly in the name of ers and gst vouchers. But still don’t get the credit and people still whine


And I have heard about UBI 6 years ago and immediately dismissed it something illogical. But now realize probably not everyone is after Monetary rewards and a healthy society needs individuals in every skills/trade. UBI can just secure some basic livelihood needs and encourage individuals to pursue their passion or contribute actively in the real jobs society needs

Harsh truths..

Govt should be about providing essential services such as health, education , transport , then it should be about facilitating private enterprise to create industry and jobs.

Micromanage folks lives is not the answer.

Regular audit of spending and opening of the books.

Cronyism should be a jailable offence, its unfortunate if a relative goes into politics and your compaby work on Govt contracts, you would not be able to bid.
