it's quite simple, the rates increase until you reach the last tier ($60k - $75k). effective interest rate for $75k is 1% from 1 Nov onwards (just take the average of the 5 rates since each tier is evenly $15k). quite pathetic but... easy to reach with $500 spend and 3 GIRO.

Either 3 Giro or $2000 in salary
Any idea if the salary can be a standing instruction from other bank

mine was waived with no issue, also mostly clocking the 500 minimum. How much in your account? try calling in to escalate especially if you only have 1 credit card?

EIR calculator

When news of Nov change came out, I kind of got fed up quickly did up this web link calculator to help set up and compare/calculate EIR for different tiered interest accounts and track the different changes.

csb-o899u.netlify.app

(copy and paste above link)

As long as you don't delete your browsing storage, you can add/remove more account interest ratings into the catalog.

From Nov onwards max EIR from UOB One from even down further from 1.2% -> 1.0%. Previously pre-August at least it was 1.76%. UOB Stash account is the most affected.

Question.. if I setup UOB One card with Apple Pay and use it for payment, it will count towards the $500 spending requirement and for the quarterly rebate?

does not matter if it is apple pay, google pay or samsung. it's the merchant that decides whether got rebates.

not talking about merchant rebates but those specific for UOB one account?

as i said, does not matter. if u use apple pay or samsung pay to buy from ntuc, u will get the rebate. if apple pay or samsung pay to govt hospital, u dun get the rebate.

end of day, it is the merchant that decides, not the payment method.

Ok thanks. So it means UOB will see that I’m making transaction to NTUC and will count my Apple Pay as qualifying.

Just disregard Apple Pay for a moment.

Your Apple Pay is linked to which bank card (UOB/DBS/OCBC), the bank will have your transaction.
