Folks

just want to check regarding salary credit.

UOB website state that minimum $1,600 salary credit via Giro/Paynow

I used to use CIMB Fund Transfer to SG Bank using Salary Payment as payment reason and it count towards the $1,600 for salary credit requirement.

Anyone know if the "Giro/Paynow" is something new? I closed my old UOB One account due to scam case, now am thinking to open the One Account again..

If it works, just use it.
It has been mentioned before if you bother to search. Do not keep mentioning it till the bank has to close it.

Ok, never mind. My old One account is closed already. I'm asking to avoid the whole exercise of reopening an account, going to the bank to give specimen signature to only just try to see if it still work...

Just use their app or website to open the account. No need to visit them physically at all.

Thanks. Just that I remember when I open the old One account, I needed to go to the branch to provide specimen signature. I'm a brand new customer then though..

Dear all,
For the rebate amount of uob one card, will it be deducted for the monthly spending calculation of $500 for one account? Just found my account got some rebate in yesterday, which makes March spending 490+. Thanks ah!

No, it should not be deducted from your monthly spending. You can login to UOB TMRW app to check the spending amount for your UOB One account under Details.

The UOB one credit card also has its own rewards system back into your card:
$50 per quarter for $500 spend / month (plus min 5 purchases) on its cc
$100 per quarter for $1000 spend/ mth
$200 per quarter for $2000 spend / mth

But note that the start and end date of for UOB one credit card for the same month for the above is often different from its UOB One bank account unless you inform the bank to regularise them to be the same (to avoid an issue with computing whether you met the $500/1000/2000 spend criteria for qualifying for the rewards).

Repeating the info for convenience and reference sake .....

From 1st May 2024, computed bonus interest for the first $150k principal amount (average daily balance) :

28 days in the month = $454.52 (verified with February 2025 statement)
29 days in the month = $470.75 (not yet verified)
30 days in the month = $486.98 (verified with June, September, November 2024 statements)
31 days in the month = $503.21 (verified with May, July, August, October, December 2024, January 2005 statements)

Disclaimer : actual amounts may differ by a few cents due to rounding off, pls refer to bank for eventual amounts .....

Bonus interest for this month should come around next Wednesday next week ....

I didn’t immediately deposit after registration.
also go check out DBS, they have a highly attractive interest rate for selected customers commencing yesterday 17 march 25.
TnC are here:
https://www.posb.com.sg/iwov-resources/media/pdf/deposits/t7-casa-tnc.pdf

meaning the 2.6% interest is on top of interest of the saving account (look up FAQ point 7). So if you have a multiplier account the interest is big. For DBS registration and deposited money has to be on same day.
I transferred 100K today after registered for the promotion a week ago, but I can still see that the 100K as withdrawable amount, how long will it take to show the amount as 'earmarked' and cannot be withdrawn?

If you sign up within the week, usually by the following Monday or Tuesday. 2.6% is not great while SCB still pays 2.9% for those still on the previous cycle. For next month maybe it would look better.

If they are changing, I think they usually give 1 month's notice ....

Once OCBC made their move to reduce their OCBC 360 bonus interest rates, should be expecting the others to do likewise .....
