So far ShopeePay has same MCC as Shopee, so it is counted.
The MCC could change in future, enjoy while it lasts.

ShopeePay Amex MCC is now 6540 (try for yourself with DBS Amex). Matter of time before the others follow suit.

No. I think. Much like grab pay. Not reconginsed.

Anyone knows to EIR for 75k with only 3 giro + $500 spent on cc?
Unless you are planning 50 tables wedding banquet @ $1500 per table (hopefully may not be till next year), you don't need to set aside $75k in UOB One account although I also still keeping - cos only nid 3 x $1 monthly donation by giro and $500 credit card spent. If you also have other banks with salary crediting and invest plus insure. This one can give up for now. Put 10k SingLife for each family member, then refund housing loan to CPF for 2.5% pa compounded yearly is the best for now.

Hi 8zaoyu, can you also implying to pay mortgage loan using cash, dont use CPF, as CPF - OA is generating 2.5% pa compounded yearly, which is much higher than cash? :s11: Thanks!

Yup, for those with ready cash chest from enbloc, past property profits usually pay next property with mostly cash. But if being first property, where to find cash? Still, setting aside the first 60k in CPF early stage let you earn the best compound interest in OA and SA, but may not be taken out till 55, take note. So, make early and partial redemption of loans in cash.

Download legit SG Charities - Donation by monthly bank GIRO only. U can see there is a line where they ask you what amount u wish to donate. You put $1 monthly till u request by letter to stop, up to them to accept what.

Realised that being on GIRO payment from One account for One card means having the payment deducted from bank account 3 days before due date. But for other merchants with giro on UOB one account is deducted on the due date. Why like that leh? :s8:

I supposed we're in the same billing date - 21 Sep.

UOB does the GIRO deduction one working day before due date. Saturday and Sunday are not working days so it got deducted on Friday from One account.

Haha.. yes, same on 21 Sep. Their sms to alert the deduction came one day later, wish they can do it instantly, so at least I can trf fund immediately back to the account.

Thanks for sharing, will keep a close lookout on future deduction dates. But so far, what I saw was that for my other banks' CC that was on GIRO deduction under same UOB One Account, those were deducted on due date itself, not earlier. Only their own CC bills always deduct 1 working day earlier

Better not, they will charge you when you go there close the account. The initial minimum balance for UOB One was $500 I remember. Then, I left $1000 in there and on one occasion it fell to $990 cos of withdrawal. It was below $1000 for months and I did not check. One fine day, I login and saw deduction of $5 per month. I immediately went to the bank to close it. Request for waiver is very tough at UOB. Whereas OCBC will help.

It’s quite easy now. With MAS guidelines. All banks have to waive off the min sum fall below fee till Dec 2020.

u may be confusing yourself with all the different requirements for UOB One acct and credit card

Firstly, GIRO lets you make monthly payment to the billing organisation from your bank account directly.
https://www.moneysense.gov.sg/articles/2018/10/guide-to-giro
So, GIRO has nothing to do with the $500 min spending required on the credit card to be entitled for any CC cash rebate

Secondly, GIRO in regards to UOB One Acct means u need to have 3 different GIRO deductions in a month from your acct and with min $500 spent on your CC, you will get the bonus interest for your savings in your acct, up to $75k.
