Hmm why must pay annual fee leh? If no waive cannot cancel? Better dont use for instalments then.

Yeh uob short change many card users. All instalments no cash rebates suddenly.

UOB Agoda also no rebates. Use SCB confirm 7% no questions ask.

Can I clarify what does it mean by UOB Agoda also no rebates? Does spending at Agoda no longer qualifies as card spend?

Hi guys, got a few questions for the ONE credit card. Sorry for these questions coz this is my first credit card, and I'm quite blur about it.

1. How do I charge my monthly insurance payments to the credit card automatically? This means that the charging will be auto and I don't have to manually go and settle the bill every month.

2. To settle monthly credit card bills, is it possible for auto deduction or something from my ONE account?

3. If "auto-charge" and "auto deductions" are indeed possible, will there be additional fees or charges for them?

4. According to the UOB CSO, the ONE credit card can do normal cash withdrawals at ATMs just like an ATM card (not cash advance), and this function is automatically activated the moment I activate my card. Is this true?

Thanks in advance guys!

1 If insurer allow CC payment, you can provide your insurer the CC details for them to charge monthly. Prudential can be done.
AIA dont allow CC payment iirc.
Which insurer ?

2 Which Bank's CC bills ?
For UOB CC, u can apply UOB online to Giro UOB One CC to be paid from UOB One current account. Easy.

For other Bank's CC or other billing organisation (eg Telco), you need to submit a manual paper Giro authorisation form. You can get this either from UOB or the BO. Painful process.

3 no further fees

4 yes, can withdraw, not Cash Advance. It's like an ATM. If u have both UOB Savings and Current Account, u may want to set the default to withdraw from your Current Account (ie UOB One).

you asked these before ... still havent gotten the card & Account ?? ;)

ok thanks. I have to call the bank to ask about my qualifying quarters and billing cycle right?

understand there must be minimum of 5 purchases per statement period so I need to ask the hotel to charge me 5x of $400 each month? would this plan works?

yes you can either check with the bank on your qualifying quarter/billing cycle, or refer to your credit card statement

Call n check n see van shift the bill to by calander month.

Othet banks can shift the bill to every 30th for example. Uob can make it the last day of the month. Make it easier to do your accounts

5 transaction no choice. Go buy a few Mac Donald incream. Doubt any hotel will divide up the transaction

1. Mine's Prudential so should be fine.

2. I'm planning to charge all bills to my UOB ONE cc, then use UOB ONE account to settle the cc bill - all these to be automated if possible.

3. Thanks for the info :)

4. How do I set this default? Or is it automatically activated by itself on my cc?

Just got both :) So I'm trying to get all these processes up and running :)

Thanks so much for the info bro! :)

sorry I confused myself. I believe the UOB One Card by default linked to UOB One Account, no need to set. (got confused with my UOB ATM card)

Good luck with setting up Giro ... it took me 6 weeks to get Starhub giro... Starhub lost my UOB giro form, did not submit to UOB & no one knew until I called to check status. Had to re-submit. Filipino Starhub staff at JEM also yaya papaya, know nothing about Giro but talk big.

i will ask if the hotel can charge 5x $400. if not, must really go spent on Mcd ice-cream:s13:

Hi bro, sorry but you're referring to the clearing of CC bill or ATM money withdrawal?

ATM money withdrawal

Thanks bro. You've been a great help. :)

I still got a few more questions :)

1. For the settling of monthly UOB ONE cc bill, is it possible for it to be one of the GIRO transaction for the UOB one account?

2. I wish to change bank account to the UOB one account for my IRAS income tax via GIRO. Is this also considered another valid GIRO transaction? However, this one is not monthly...not sure how I can make it monthly :s11:

1 yes counted

2 also counted. if u enrol IRAS giro plan, it will auto deduct from your designated bank account monthly, usually over 10 months if u apply from the onset.

Guys check your smart$ regularly

I switched from shell to spc to save a few cents but it cost me more in my smart$ expiring. Shell uses smart$ but SPC does not.
So you'll forget about the smart$ because they don't update you and it will expire!

Thanks so much bro. I've submitted the GIRO application for both via UOB iBanking already :)

Anyway, does UOB iBanking provide info about the expenditure of the UOB ONE cc? I would like to see if I manage to hit the $500 every month :)
