if lets say i spend only 1k per month topping up grab, i am expected to receive my quarterly rebate at 4th month right? on the 4th month, do i need to spend 1150 (quarterly one rebate + grab rebate)? will the next quarterly rebate count it as net (1000-150) if i only spend 1k on the 4th month?

Just clock $1000 per month is okay. Rebates will not affect your spending for 4th month.

Assuming card approved in August, first quarter is Aug, Sep, Oct i.e. statements generated on these 3 months. It seems strange that the 1st month is over by the time you receive the card but this is how this card works. Did you indeed received cashback on 2Nov?

Sorry to piggyback on OP’s post.

I have a similar situation. I received the card recently on 18 Nov and the first statement on 4 Dec.

First quarter is Nov : $800 retail spend and $1000 on Grab
2nd month of first quarter is Dec : if I were to spend another $2000 on Grab, will I be entitled to 10% cash rebates?
3rd month of first quarter is Jan?

The calculation will be as follows - (2/3 x 300) + 150 = 350
Which means I’ll be getting $350 end of Jan? And to qualify for the full 10% rebates, I should spend $2000 each month in January, February, and March in order for me to get $600 in April? Are my calculations correct?

The 1st month of your quarter (04 Nov statement) was already over when you received your card. Yes, it's bizarre but that's how it works.

04 Dec statement is your 2nd month and 04 Jan statement is your 3rd month.

I would advise you to call UOB to confirm your quarters.

Since the rebate is credited to the card to offset the bill, would it affect the min spending for that month? For example, if I receive $50 of rebate, and I spend $500 that month, would my min spending be considered as $450 (and hence, fail to satisfy min spend req), or would it still be considered as $500?

Also, would you receive any notification (e.g. sms, in the bill) that the rebate is credited?
