To get cash rebate from insuranve need to use cardup/ipaymy.

$1k a month can get 3.33% cash rebate if maintain for three months. But need to pay some fees for cardup/ipaymy

1. Would I be able to prepay AIA insurance via IPAYMY if it's not due yet (Jul)? AIA app doesn't allow payment if it's not due. Would like to use it to hit quarterly spendings.

2. Would I be able to prepay SP bills via IPAYMY? Similarly app doesn't allow prepayment and there's no way to pay over the counter this month. Anyone has tried paying over counter and counts as eligible spend?

Can anybody help?
My bills from s&p, insurance, starhub amounts to $1k monthly. I link it with my DBS Everyday card but realise the rebates are really unattractive.
Currently my salary is credit to UOB1 . Do u think it’s better if I shift my monthly commitments to UOB1? And from the post above insurance premium is not getting extra bonus?

You mean your salary is credited to UOB 1 and yet you did not charge anything to UOB credit card and hence not earning any bonus interest all along ?

Like what others say, it might be good to give a bit of breakdown.

Btw what is s&p ? Singapore Powers ?

Yes Singapore power water and electricity bill
Amounts to $500++ monthly
Starhub $200++
nsurance around $300++
ViewQwest wifi $50++
S&cc $70++
Currently not receiving any bonus interest at all 😔
If I will to shift, does these conclude in the the bonus interest for the $1000 x 3 months? Or do I still need to spend more on the card to meet the bonus tier?
And Will I also get additional bonus on top of that? I googled and kept getting different answer. Some web say sp get additional 6% rebate. And some say recurring get additional 1%. So confusing

Is the fees high? Because my monthly insurance is around $300+
3.33% cash rebate is it the $1000x 3 months get $200 rebate?

To get UOB One account bonus interest, spend min 500 on specific UOB credit card (like UOB One credit card) and either salary of min $2000 or have 3 GIRO. Wef May, interest rate is cut to about 1.796% if you have $75000. Lower if less than $75000 as interest rate is tiered. Your SP bill and Starhub bill payment exceed $500 and is eligible card spend for UOB One bonus interest.

In addition, if you charge to UOB one credit card $1000 per month for 3 mths (need to check which 3 mths make up your quarter), you can get quarterly credit card rebate of $100 if you charge eligible card spending. SP bill payment get an additional 1%. Starhub is eligible. Pay both using their app and not by AXS. S&CC town council not eligible. Insurance only eligible if you pay by using cardup or ipaymy (but note that NTUC Income insurance cannot). Charges not more than 2.6% (depending on which one you use and promo codes etc.) but card rebate is higher so still worth.

Add on :
In addition need min 5 transactions per statement month for all 3 months of the qualified quarter and min $1000 eligible spend each of the statement month to get the quarterly rebate of $100

Since you have salary and credit card spending, actually you might want to consider others like Bank of China Smart saver or OCBC 360. Think you can get higher interest than UOB One account.

Thanks so much!! Now it’s much clearer... erm, my current payment mode for Starhub is using recurring credit card payment for dbs Everyday. So I’ll just change it to UOB 1 or do u mean I pay monthly via the Starhub app??
And even though both of s&p and Starhub hits $500 monthly spend, I’ll still need to make 5 transaction to be able to get the bonus too right ?
Are u also using UOB 1? What other bills do u charge to UOB 1? 5 transactions seems hard for me...I have a current ipp with best Denki for 12 months, does the monthly installment consider transactions anot? Lol

What you can do is to pay Starhub bill by Starhub app (monthly) like 2 weeks before the date they charge to your POSB as recurring. If your bill is say $500, you can spilt and pay 4 times to hit the min 5 Tran. Or go ntuc or 7-11 buy mineral water or sweets 50 cents. Or McDonald's ice cream.......

3.33% cash rebate is it the $1000x 3 months get $200 rebate?

Standard is 2.25%, but they usually give promo codes for lower fees (PM’d you mine ;))

3.33% cash rebate is $1,000 x 3 = $100 every quarter.

Dose CC top up Lazada Wallet counted?
Since top up Prepaid Account is not considered as eligible spending for CC rebate.
