But the DBS/POSB MasterCard way of payment is more attractiveuse evoucher still have capitastar$
read againHey chiokcc, thanks for sharing. That sounds like die die have to use Mastercard credit and debit card only + the card has to linked to the apps itself?![]()
not really, dbs/posb mastercard quite mediocre for in-store shoppingBut the DBS/POSB MasterCard way of payment is more attractive
As far as I know, all correct, but for telco has to pay direct and not via AXStransiting to uob one & its CC after the boc nerf.. just to check with all the bros here:
- SP power & telco, got count towards min spending & cashback
- town council S&CC , no count and no cashback
- income tax giro, got promo until Mar 2026, just need to register paynow and money lock
correct?
This usually appears as TRANSIT so likely noDoes top up on simplygo app qualify for any cashback? I understand there’s no additional cashback but am unsure about the base 3.33% cashback.
Oh alright. I thought it will appear as SIMPLYGO. Thanks bro. This usually appears as TRANSIT so likely no
just leave it in the wallet and use to pay for food or buy things u need, the amount is probably not much, why need go thru the hassle of requesting refund?anyone can advise?
I did a silly thing (while in a rush) today. recently changed my phone and today while trying to book a Grab, realised I hadn't (re)install the app. So I did it on the spot and quickly log in to book transport. then at payment... dunno why even though I selected payment by credit card (already one of the payment options), it went to payment by Grab wallet instead, and it became an auto-topup from my UOB One card to the Wallet
I thought it was a glitch... since the car wasn't booked, so I tried to book again and once again, at payment, it prompted an auto-topup to the Wallet. So... I ended up topping up my Grab Wallet using my UOB One card TWICE
I tried to submit a request to refund the excess (after payment for the trip) from my Wallet back to my credit card. what's the success rate of doing so? And how long will it possibly take?
(fyi I'm a rare Grab user so I don't top up the Grab wallet but usually pay directly by credit card if need to)
not a long-term / frequent user of Grab. don't like to leave 'loose money' around different places.just leave it in the wallet and use to pay for food or buy things u need, the amount is probably not much, why need go thru the hassle of requesting refund?
up to you, just suggesting an alternative only, like you said, everyone has their way to manage the money, this is the way I will choose...not a long-term / frequent user of Grab. don't like to leave 'loose money' around different places.
why need to question why I need to go through the hassle? everyone of us have our own ways of managing our monies... just asking those who have tried requesting for refund after topping up for their experience. it's not about whether the amount is big or small. and it's not just a few cents or few dollars. the top up totalled to around $50 (double top-up).
