Thought it would make sense to consolidate spendings onto the UOB one CC? i.e. make the UOB one CC pay for the Ezlink rides from POSB Everyday.

Your Posb everyday ezlink purse must not be linked to your Posb everyday credit card.
then u can linked to your UOB 1

Otherwise u got to delink at TL office 1st

just to confirm, paying sp service bill via ibanking do not accumulate to the 500 monthly min spend for uob one account right

must go sp service office to pay via credit card

If consolidation is your aim you could have linked uob1 with any plain vanilla ezlink/NFP. The reason u use everyday card for transport is for its 2% rebate.

Thanks bro for sharing. Looking for good vanilla flashpay cards now! Is the Mac flashpay still available? Think the uob delight credit card is also flashpay capable, can that be linked to uob one?

The last time I tried link the flashpay purse of Maybank plat dc w uob1 it got rejected (maybank plat dc to its own account no problem)

Maybe u tried linking your flashpay purse of uob debit to uob1cc

perhaps MiImbEn care to share yours

neither... i manually topup the uob debit currently

haven signed the uob1cc yet thus asking in this thread if the uob1cc has flashpay :)

If u need 1 card w dual purpose, u can try
1) Frank cc(visa) which is a flashpay card itself (ATU activated by bank itself)
2) Posb Everyday card(master) (an ezlink card itself w 2% rebate for each ezreload)
3) Citibank smrt cc (visa) - also a rebate of 2%(1.7% if monthly spending of $600 not met)

perks at using the AXS has been terminated long ago.
btw uob1 cc cannot be used - only DBS/Citibank/Diners
u should pay at singtel website or mysam( used to be called vbox)

yea thanks i did some research and this list came up too

sitting on the fence between using uob one + one card and ocbc 360 + frank

can only hit the min spend of either acc + card combo only

for the date of rebate.

i just just completed one quarter of spending, and i read the tnc say the rebate will be given in the Statement Period immediately
following the end of that Quarter.

so does that mean i will only seen the rebate in the 4th month after spending in the first 3 months, aka first bill of next cycle?

the permutations is quite complicated, and it varies from people to people. i can only summarise into these 3 points.

1. salary crediting
- uob one is better suited for those without salary crediting, as it can be replaced with giro. those with salary crediting, ocbc offers more interest for the salary component. with cc spending, both wins dbs multiplier by variable extent. dbs top 2 tier should consider increasing to 2.5 and 2.3% to win ocbc.

2. cc spending pattern
- uob one cc is suitable for those with consistent spending from various sources, but cannot consolidate all spendings into specific categories (aka online, dining), but is at danger of dropping to 0.05% interest if you fail to hit 500 or if somehow there is a reversal near the end of the bill cycle, u suffer. ocbc frank gives more returns if most of your spending is online (subjected to unpredictable limitations). if u fail to hit 500 however, u can still fall back on other factors.

3. ideal situation if all terms met.
best for couples (2x salary), uobx3giro, ocbcx3bill/giro

- 1 x uob1 acc x 50k + $800/mth all overseas spending
- 2 x 360 (2salary) x 60k (alt), 1k/mth online spend (100atu)
- 2 x bp acc (shift any account < 2.35 to bp in jun/sep/dec)

- 2 x uob hya standby
- 2 x scb esaver standby (maybank isavings had min sum)
- 1 x cimb standby
- 2 x maybank isavings plus (need to time/plan 7mths ahead)

- dbs multiplier: wait for promo
- hsbc premier: wait for promo
- citigold as new to bank customer

The rebate will offset the 3rd month bill. So pay fully only after u get the rebate

is that the case?

i can only see the rebate by the end of next bill cycle, aka next statement. i cant wait till then, cos the due date for the 3rd month bill will be before the 4th month bill statement.
