Its best that you call UOB and speak to the CSO. Sometimes I get confused too!

For my case, I think i called to change when my statement was 2nd Jan. When I changed to 31st, i had to spend the required amount between 2nd Jan and 31st Jan instead of between 2nd Jan and 1st Feb.

what u r saying is even though your bill cycle is shortened in that month of change, the tier is not prorated but stays at 300/800/1500.

I went ahead to change the billing cycle to start on the 2nd of each month. This is because I want this to be as close as possible to the spending requirement for the ONE account. It would be easier to reconcile the two.

Its a brilliant idea to change the statement date.
I dint know that and I alwys got problem tracking the bill cycle window.

Just curious, why do you want to start on the 2nd instead of 1st of every mth? Then will be swee swee 1st day of calendar till last day of the month right?

One question...is it possible to use UOB one card to use it as GIRO for monthly (1) Insurance policy, (2) HDB Home loan or even (3) Service and Conservancy Charges (4) Donation?

Some bills can be paid using the card using bill payment service. Note it is not called GIRO
http://www.uob.com.sg/personal/cards/payment/bill_payment_service.html

(1) yes for prudential and some ntuc income policies. for other insurance company check with the insurance company if they accept recurring payment using credit card
(2) don't think possible
(3) yes for selected constituency that accept credit card payment.
(4) check with donation organisation.

One question, am I entitled to the 3.33% rebate if I make a internet payment to KKH using my UOB one credit card?

Yes if u fulfill the other requirements. 3.33% is the max rebate rate

To be specific, the max rebate PER QUARTER is either $30, $80 or $150 (based on spend tier for each month within the quarter) which translate to a max of 3.33% as the tiers are set at $300, $800 & $1500.

Note to self ... some rebate leakage when hitting min spend for UOB One bonus spend.

There may be cards that give you better rebate than UOB One for internet payment. Eg SCB Singpost card (7% rebate capped for $714 spending); BOC shop! card (5.5-6% rebate for $500 to $1000 spending; 1% thereafter; total rebate capped at $100)

The most beautiful aspect of the UOB ONE card is that it does not discriminate non-retail/non-signature based transactions, and these include almost all transactions with the exception of annual fees, late fees, balance transfers and other bank-related charges.

Therefore, all internet payments, Paywave transactions, recurring or non-recurring bill payments, or any other transactions that invoke the 16 digit VISA function of UOB ONE card qualify for 3.33% rebate.

The ugliest aspect of the UOB ONE Card is that constant spending and monitoring per month are required or the rebates could well be none.

Yeah agreed. I spending on the card 1 week before the next statement date to ensure the transaction got posted. Also try not to overspend from the tiered amounts as not getting rebate for the overspent portions

For statement below, and activated the GIRO to pay minimum amount liao, need to pay how much to just clear the amount, is it (510-30)? But read somewhere that UOB One card cannot pay fully else cannot get the 3.33%, is this for the 3rd month only, 1st/2nd month doesn't matter? Anyone can advise how much to pay in this case, if this is 2nd month?

Last Statement Balance: SGD 510
Last Payment Amount: SGD 20
Min Payment Required: SGD 30
Payment Due Date: 23 Jun 2015

i paid full everytime. and got mine in the 4th statement. for clarity, u might want to share the bill cycle of your first and second bills (end of each cycle = statement date)

According to the CSO I spoke to, Giro is triggered 4-day before due. If you choose min payment Giro, gotta make sure also that you have not already paid the min already on D-4, else no Giro also.

Just pay in full, rebate is offset automatically against your 4th statement bill

Use Giro pay in full don't need to worry, its those weird people who pay more than they use then need to worry, normal people is use then pay not pay before use.

For the additional 2% overseas rebates, do I need to wait for the next normal rebate credit, or will it be given in the same month of spending?

I try redeem the points at bread talk yesterday, in the end the girl charge again to my card. I believe a lot of these merchants staff don't know about the smart$ and still thought it is a normal transaction.
