UOB one card

Recently applied for this card with one account for high interest rate, but got rejected

Have been holding Prvi Miles AMEX for 3 years and spending like $80K every year ..... Checked my credit report, clean, and close to 2000 score ....

No clue what UOB is thinking, probably I should completely switch to another bank.

how come i spend 1st month $500, 2nd month $500, 3rd month $1000. I only get $33.33? shouldn't i get $50? called CSO he said 1st month they don't consider. wtf?

What are your 3 statement months for the quarter? Asking because typical by the time the card is received the 1st month statement month may be over already.

If expiry on ur card is sep, ur billing cycle is sep,oct and nov.

For mine it is 12sep,12oct and 12 nov bill. Rebate will get in dec bill. I gt $33.33 for fulfilling 12oct (spending from sep-oct) and 12 nov (spending from oct - nov) bill.

As for sep bill, have not received the card yet so that explains why didnt get the rebate

I jus received my UOB One CC today. My 3mths cycle starts dec-feb.
As this is already mid mth, the cso I called told me that they will not take my first cycle into consideration.
Meaning that if I can't hit $2000 now in Dec but spend $2000 for each month of Jan and feb. I will still get 5% ($200) back.
Second cycle mar-may onwards then they will start taking into account 3mths transaction. Is this true?

Can I also check if paying by flash pay is taken into account as a transaction?

Nope. You will only get two third of $200 as you only spend two out of three qualifying months.

Previously, the payment due date is always on the 2nd of the following month.

Hi if i use the online bill payment every month to pay UOB credit card bills does each credit card i pay count as 1 giro payment?

Or do i have to fill up the giro form and does each credit card count as 1 giro payment? i.e.: example 3 UOB cards (UOB One Card , UOB Prvi Miles, UOB Privilege ) does giro these 3 means 3 giro payment?

Happens that your statement date is such that the due date is the borderline of the 2 months. You should have set up more GIROs

Transactions count to whichever statement month they are posted in.

Oh yes. I am still using the old rate for calculation.

yup you are correct. just to be sure, min spending for this card is tagged to statement month not calendar month

It takes some time to fill up form and for the GIRO to be set up.
