i doubt UOL want to makan UIC. Knowing the Wee family, more likely a group restructuring...maybe UOL take all non-SG properties, UIC take SG properties, etc.

I have been observing UOL collecting UIC shares from the market, hence my hunch, but you may be right...;)

the cost of maintaining listed status is too high and too many rules and regulations, it is not worth to be listed in sgx.

privitise it better.

Still possible to announce anytime betn now and prior to pre-market opening tmr.

Trading halt is 3 days max and need to apply for extension if >3days.

After 2 days, Gokongwei still hanging on to his UIC shares.
UOL still don't have enough to do a takeover but getting closer.

holy sheet…………i missed the opportunity to sell some above $8.00…………twice missed this target liao...
