Upgrade advice

I just bought gtx 970. My system as follows. Will there be significant improvement if I upgrade to skylake or h97? Or buy cpu 4690?

Seasonic 620w
I5-3570k
Zotac gtx 970
16gb ram
Intel ssd 200gb
2tb hitachi 7200rpm

You should have gotten a Z77 motherboard to go along with your Core i5-3570K to overclock that will be able to beat any locked non-K processor these days.
