I think based on processors compatible with your board , best choice is 3600 or 3700x

i think even a 2600 should be enough to alleviate the cpu bottleneck from the 2200g, can find around 150 nowadays, significantly cheaper than 3600 but not noticeably slower.

The motherboard can support up to AMD 3000 series, take note you may need to update
the BIOS if you have not done before.

2nd hand AMD 3600 cost around $200 - $300, this is the best option.
AMD 2600 is cheaper below $200 but for long run 3600 will be better.

Use CPU-Z to check.
Go to your motherboard site to check the latest bios for your motherboard.

- Through BIOS, hit Delete/F2 during PC post.
- Use CPU-Z

Have you tried overclocking your CPU?

3.8GHz @1.35v should be achievable on the stock cooler.

Why do you need to flash? Just check your bios version, if it support, then just get a R5 3600.

I asked in the first thread and it was recommend to go for 3600 etc. Maybe you can explain your stand that it is well balance? 3600 vs 2200, the clock speed etc all is different.

Theoretically the 2200G does bottleneck the 580. However depending on what games you play it may not make a difference:

2200G FPS

3600 FPS
https://pc-builds.com/games/fps-calculator/result/0U90Yg/1920x1080/(The RX 580 definitely does better so upgrading will help get better performance)

The above 2200G measurement is for base clock. You can get a small (5.7%) performance boost increasing to 3700MHz with stock cooler no problems.

Also, depending on your priorities, I always favour APUs or iGPU type processors over ones that don't have anything onboard. I've had too many graphic cards fail on me, and as a practical measure the integrated graphics is useful for troubleshooting.
