Hi, I'm thinking of upgrading my desktop. I mainly use it for gaming.

Here are my desktop specs:
CPU: i5 3470 (3.2Ghz)
GPU: Sapphire 7850 2GB OC
RAM:g.skill 1333mhz 8GB
MOBO:Asrock b75 pro 3
PSU: SeaSonic S12II-Non MODULAR 520W.

I want to play next-gen games on max settings. I play on 1920X1080 resolution. Should I upgrade my CPU?

I'm thinking of upgrading my GPU to a GTX 780 ti. Is it worth it or should I wait for the 800 series next year? Thanks.

Budget around $1,500. I've listed my monitor resolution as 1920X1080.

Wait for non ref 290/290x or can get r9 280x now....

r9 280x is similar to 770

r9 290 is similar to 780

r9 290x should be better or similar to 780ti

But, all AMD cards are much cheaper than NVIDIA.

780 TI overkill for 1920x1080

r9 280x for 1920x1080 more than enough
