Light gamer no need full-fledged desktop. Get 64GB ram if you want.
32GB should be fine.

well maybe get a 16c32t cpu with 64GB ram for ur new setup. A 4070ti above shld be able to handle ur 4k monitor.

if u r not sure where to get the parts, go down SLS or buy from online builders eg. aftershock, mansa

Should have but it will counted mid-range, GPU itself will cost around $500
so rest of the budget goes to other part.
If you got time ask shops at Sim Lim like Fuwell, PCThemes, Dynacore, Bizgram
etc. see what they recommend.

If not sure good or not, you can post here with their specs they recommend.
Else if you want fuss free you can get Acer Nitro gaming PC but such PC.
You will have limitation what can upgrade like RAM, SSD.

  • INTEL OR AMD ?
amd is generally cheaper while performing about the same or better than intel in ur use case. u dont need a super powerful processor, just a basic ryzen 5 7500f/7600 will do.
  • 16G X 16G RAM brand ?
if not looking to do serious tweaking on ram, no need to look at brand. just get 6000mhz ddr5, the lower the cl number the better but see how much budget u want to allocate here.
  • RTX 4060 (enough for 4K- 2,560x1,440 )
Budget below $2k if possible
2k budget enough for a much better gpu. 4060 is generally around $400, but if u spend $200 more u can get a 78xt which is 66% faster and has double the vram, so will last longer into the future.
  • do i need a HDD still ( can i use back existing hdd)
reuse back if u lazy to migrate ur data to ur new ssd.
  • power supply any to recommend
see here:
any tier b+ or above available locally with >5y warranty should be good.
