Upgrade of Intel Core

I am a computer noob.
I am using this:
MSI H97 GAMING 3 i5-4460

I realized that my CPU CORE always reaches 100% and I cannot fully utilized my 16GB ram DDR3.

I decided to do an upgrade of the CPU. Which should I go for ? I am looking at PC themes price list.

May I know if I can sell my existing CPU to any shop, will they take in ? I had bought it for $439 together with the motherboard.

Upgrading CPU to anything higher end won't make your RAM utilise ever more fully. You should check device manager see which software is hogging onto CPU. 16GB of RAM can only see fuller utilisation if doing content creation, having massive amount of Chrome browser tabs running or playing some latest AAA titles.

Run Windows Task Manager or Sysinternal Process Explorer to examine your pc which applications/task hogging your cpu

Recommend you to back up your files and do a reformat before deciding to change Cpu. Your processor ain't that lousy and I don't believe you will hog it to 100% at idle. There's definitely some background tasks hogging it.

CPU on 100% could be your background have some software like anti-virus doing virus scan or some other program running on the background, likely u also might have accidentally install a malware that is constantly trying to exact your info.

maybe u can show a screenshot over here.

as for ram...do u really required the PC to use all the ram??? install ramDisk den use the other 8GB for torrent cache

anyway what task u running?? if nothing heavy load, the PC wouldn't even bother using all the rams.

upgrade CPU for what??? your current CPU still quite decent for current games.

no shop will take in CPU only
