Need advices on upgrading my current rig (Intel q9450, 8gb ram, 560ti graphics). Mainly for Mechwarrior online (now running at below 15 fps) plus maybe other fps games in future.

Need to be able to run My two existing screens, one at 2560x1440 and the other at 1900x1200.

Would I be able to reuse my existing power supply and OS (win7) or is it better to change as well?

Budget within $2k if possible. Hope able to last at least 3 to 5 years before upgrading again.

Finally, have not been to SLS for many years? Which shop gives better prices withoutbthe need to bargain nowadays?

Thanks!!!

If you know how to assemble on your own, TradePac is the cheapest. Can bargain a few red note off without any problem. :s13:

My current PSU is a Cooler Master 750W. Have been using for around 5 years. Any issue if I keep and reuse it? What's the performance difference in gaming between i5-4570 and i7-4770k?

Gaming performance between i5-4570 and i7-4770k = 1-5% diff or a difference of a few fps.

Best to get a new PSU since urs 5 yrs old le... Must had degraded a lot. If you dun wan ur other components to go along with your PSU, suggest getting a new one. Go for seasonic, fsp, super flower, they are trusted brands. And since you want ur new rig last another 3-5 more years. That makes a total of 10 yrs for your PSU to tahan... if can survive, shld give medal to it.

Tomshardware says the best bang of buck CPU is i5-3550P. But I do not see this in SLS shops' price list? Is this chip slower than i5-4750 since it's number is smaller? Confused :(

Its not sower. Its the same speed as 4570 and 3470. It is clocked at 3.2ghz. The only difference is that 3350p does not comes with igpu in it. Lesser power consumed. Lesser tdp. If I'm not wrong only 60+ watts. Should be cooler also.

Tradepac go sell.
