Hi fellow hardware guru's and enthusiasts. Need your following opinions.

I am intending to upgrade but still cant decide..
Purpose: Just gaming, and doing mild OC to 4.2ghz

CPU: i5 4670K
Mobo: Gigabyte Z87 D3HP $532 or Gigabyte Z87 D3H $581
(Leaning towards D3HP)
SSD: Plextor M5P 256GB $289

Parts to Reuse:
Casing : FT-02
PSU: Corsair AX 850W
Cooler : Prolimatech Megahalems Black
Rams: El cheapo 2 x 8GB Kingston
GFX: Asus GTX 580 DCU II

Main concerns are that the matx board may nt support the GTX 580 due to its massive size. Also not sure if the current HSF 1155 mounting can support haswell. Quick google shows that, should be no issue.

Would appreciate any advice or criticisms i can get..thanks in advance all!

@wuweiz yeah ROG all very poison one..but the vrm heatsink kinda turn off..too beefy

@racer Asus Hero and Giga OC both same price. both mosfets and vrms on par rated 60amps albeit diff manufacturer. The concerning note im looking at is Haswell notch really a great overclocker, so im still thinking..need sooo high end or nt. Like my current board so many fancy features, end up i also nv use tsk tsk.

Mild OC to 4.2Ghz, any Z87 mobo can do that.

How much are you willing to spend on your mobo?

I'm curious on how does the ramdisk in ASUS Maximus VI hero actually works?

When I shut down the PC will the stored data still be there?
