Looking at the specs, there's only 1 ram slot with a max support for 2gb of ddr3 ram.

An ssd upgrade would probably cost 3/4 the cost of what it is worth now

Think it's probably worth to get a new hybrid maybe?

a new ddr3 ram 2gb is about 40

Zotac ones..If current RAM at 1GB, upgrade to 2GB one as well. I will get 2nd hand RAM by local distro for this.

2GB DDR3 at most $25 now. We have used ones @ $10 if you want to save cost.
