Upgrading graphic card,need advice & help

hope any expert can help.

im currently using AMD Radeon R9 200 Series.

and it just keep crashing even when im playing dota 2.

if i just wanna upgrade my graphics card, what options i have?

If you're comfortable with just MOBAs then dunnid to splurge on a high-end card while upgrading

A GTX 1050 would be more than good enough. Wanna go ultra cheapo can consider 950.

you might want to find out what is causing the crash first before heading to buy a new card.. are the temps too high? are there any artifacts on the screen?

re-installed . only crashes when gaming . RMA before few yrs back but lazy to fix it cos quit gaming.

but my budget is below 300 hopefully for a decent GPU can play most games.



my specs are as below

MB: ASUS B85M-G43 + i54460
GPU: RADEON R9 270X 2GB DDR5
SSD: crucial mx100 256gb
RAM: GSKILL DDR3 4gb x2
PSU: 550W

you can try running the amd catalyst program and see the temp from there otherwise can use gpuz. does it crash when you are surfing the net? if not, how old is your psu? do you have spare if so you may try

my PSU quite new, less than 3 yrs old. that time replaced one cause not enough power.

only when i play dota will crash, other than that all ok. (sometimes only )

i dont mean reinstall driver... change a driver and try if it still crashes, if u wan to change u can look at gtx 1050... under 200

so meaning u have not updated to other driver b4? after u used the same drivers that comes with the cd?

install a simple software like fanspeed to keep track of the gpu temps.
