Hi all, have been trying to go through the various threads for pc building/upgrading to help with my requirements.

Usage mainly for gaming (stuff like The Division) and heavy internet surfing. I can run those now but I can feel my pc struggling. Budget would be 1.5k, will be reusing my monitor, kb+accessories, 2 hdds, ram.

I've spotted this rig that moneyface suggested to another user :

CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-4460 + ASUS Trooper B85 @ $385 (PC Themes)
GPU: Zotac GTX 970 4GB Twin Fan @ $394+2*
SSD: Zotac Premium 480GB @ $174*
PSU: Super Flower Leadex Silver 550W [80 Plus Silver] @ $83+3`

Would this be fine and are the stuff that I'm reusing a good idea since it's 5 years old? Would like a recommendation for a case that's easy for cable management too.

Thanks!

GPU and a bigger SSD should suffice. The rest of the rig looks good for a few more years though you might want to do a SMART test on the HDDs.
