Hi all,

I'm considering upgrading my GPU cos of all the new PC games eg Red Dead Redemption II, Cyberpunk etc.

My current specs (DYI rig) are as follow:
Intel Core I5-7500 Socket 1151 3.4GHz Quad Core
Asus Strix B250F Gaming Socket 1151 Motherboard
Cosair Vengence LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 Dram 2400MHz C14 Memory Kit
Samsung 850 Evo 250GB SSD
MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G PCI-E 4GB
FSP Aurum Gold 600W PSU
Coolermaster 12cm R4L2R Blue LED Chassis Fan

Appreciate any advice on the which GPU (RTX series?) or any other areas I should consider.

Thanks.

If you're gaming at 1080p, don't need superb gpu. Rtx series is paying for Ray tracing, so depends whether the game u playing has that feature.
If gaming at 1440p and above with high frequency den good luck... Cpu won't be sufficient for those cpu intensive games (eg bf5). Gpu also need to beef up.

Sorry, I missed that out.

Budget: $500-$800
Monitors: I'm using 2 normal monitors at 1980x1080, 60Hz. May think of upgrading these 2 as well. Are there trade in for monitors?

Thanks.
