Hi guys,

i am using an old x58 mb (Gigabyte UDR-3) paired with i930.

Recently i have random bsods (different error messages), or display hangs but sound continues. I have tried clearing the CMOS and resetting the bios but the problem still exist.

Do not seem to be heat issue as the issue can happen right after a boot shortly into windows when i come back from work.

PSU seems to be fine as well, because the random issues only happen after the first - 2nd boot than everything runs fine.

My question is, i see the new prices list for example corsair vegance selling in pairs. IIRC x58 runs triple channeling, getting 3 sticks of those will they be compatible?

I really hope its not the MB's slot that is giving me the issues.

Thanks in advance.

Run memtest86. After running it and if there is an error all you would need to do is RMA the particular ram.
