Hi all!
I'm intending to upgrade my current 250gb SSD to a bigger one.. probably 500gb or 750gb. Any recommendations?
Did some searching and found some nice articles on how to migrate my OS but most of them recommends to install a fresh OS on it. My 250gb SSD now houses only the OS and core program files that needs to be on the C:/ drive but its running out of space and I don't have any programs to unload.
So here's where I don't quite have a good picture:
1. Backup current OS > clone OS onto backup drive > install new bigger SSD > restore cloned OS onto new SSD
Then clean up old smaller SSD to start using it to store other things.
2. Install new bigger SSD > install fresh OS > ???
Is it possible to just install the same OS you're running on, in the new bigger SSD? I think after that I'll just have to tell the computer to boot into the new SSD?
Please enlighten me!
Any recommendations for size, brand and model is much appreciated!
Budget: 200 - 400. Higher it gets just means I'll have to save more haha..
