if you are buying Samsung SSD, use Samsung Data Migration Software to clone

Use samsung data migration for evo. I migrated from my crucial M4 128GB to evo 250GB with no problems.

Easeus backup is another good cloning tool but the samsung data migration is already pretty good so stick with that if you use evo.

If you want long term stability and reliability, fresh install OS instead of cloning.

Heard people recommend Acronis. But really, the one which is easiest to use is samsung migration which comes with your ssd! Just install the software first and follow instructions

Acronis don't even need to install, create a bootable disc/flashdrive and boot up the system to perform cloning.

Why would anyone want to clone the installed cloning software to a new drive is beyond me.

another way of making free space...

if you have a secondary drive, relocate your documents, diwnloads, pics, vids to your secondary drive...

reinstall programs to your secondary drive, make your ssd only for os. have your page file set on your ssd..
reduce recycle bin allocated size, set size only on your secondary drive.
