Any recommendations for UPSes in general here? I'm looking for something that will run an estimated 180-ish watt load for about 15 to 20mins whenever theres a power trip due to heavy storms. Afaik the "reputable brands" we have locally in Singapore are Eaton, APC and Prolink, and I've been searching up and down for any long-term reviews but to limited results.
Interested to hear your experiences with any of them if you've purchased and used them. How well do they switch over to the batteries when the power goes out? Whats the expected life cycle of the lead acid batteries? I've scoured reddit and they all seem to unanimously agree on Eaton being the most reliable brand. I'm willing to spend up to $300 on it, because I plan to connect my ONT, Router, PoE switch powering a wifi 6 AP, and a mini pc homelab to it and I wanna keep it running for at least 15 mins when the power goes out (which isnt very often, but still happens). I mostly just want to not worry about damage to these electronics and maintain internet access while the power is down. My initial plan was to slap together some Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePo4) batteries with a solar charge controller+inverter and run that as my main UPS, but I know I am nowhere near skilled enough with any kind of electrical engineering to attempt that, and any ready-made solution will cost in the thousands.
