Thats a steady plan for pumping GDP in difficult times.

With all the extra folk coming, good time for MNC to lean on Govt for favourable terms to open up here 😁😁😁

Or are the new homes for those going to work in Johor SEZ?

The irony is SG is too hot and nobody uses all these green spaces. It like our gahmen is forcing the green narrative when it is impractical. Some roof gardens i go to, even at night is deserted. I tot can find piak piak there but too hot for them.
all this for wayang to the world to see and boast only, and cheap cheap too

National Development Minister Chee Hong Tat said this was the URA’s most extensive public engagement yet, and that the exhibition brings together ideas that Singaporeans have put forth into a “shared vision” for the coming years.

We need Minister CHT to relaxed some cooling measure! Resale price is keep hovering at the same price at the moment, we need a new high to show some progress.

Irony is that it is not cheap. A huge amount of money goes into our artificial greenery. Watering, trimming, planting also takes money. Need hire jlbs to "check" the trees also.

well it is better than they spent/build some useless memorial site.
Greenery is the easiest to boost a space and make it look nice, make everyone feel good, but in reality no one uses it( very little)

but then i prefer such to bulding more BTOs....its way too over killing and hot.
now already cannot tahan the outside weather

in this case please demolish all landed properties, the most wasted use of space in singapore. use them to build 50 storey buildings instead.

What to do. They have to answer to the peoples concern about over crowded.

Best solution they can come out with is just stacking everything up like lego

Don't be suprise maybe in future they will integrate malls, office and any low rise shop houses to HDB, all stack upwards also

So they can continue to squeeze more in the limited space

this is the perfect idea actually

just take the lift to 2nd or 3rd floor. cross link bridge to coffeeshop on that common floor. with supermarket right beside. who needs to actually leave the hdb block
