urgently need advise for replacement parts

Hi, my desktop had a 'pak' sound yestarday and trip the power of my entire home. could not power on after that.

i think the PSU/motherboard gone case. computer not my expertise, hence need some advise on the parts for replacement. going down sim ling sq today.

Hi there,

It seems that your power supply has caused a short-circuit in your house. Check when did you purchased those parts. If its less than 3/5 yrs, chances are your power supply still have warranty. But I would recommend you to change the power supply to other brands such as Superflower or Corsair. Seasonic recently has a bad reputation for their QC. Lets hope now is only your power supply that failed rather than the whole system.

den just replace the psu and see, since we are not sure what else could be the issues, else u can check with PCThemes can bring down your system and let them see which parts is dmg and needs to be replaced.

Replace the psu first. Get superflower leadex.

okay noted. i've seen the receipt, found that the date of purchase is on Feb 2015. if PSU is really the fault, most probably it is still under warranty.

not sure when did seasonic reputation became smelly, shld i stick to the same brand or just change to superflower?

If its still under warranty, go get it replaced and then sell online; to fund for your new power supply. You can get Corsair or Superflower.

Take note some models of Corsair PSU the OEM is also made by Seasonic. You may wish to do more research on that.

If your Seasonic PSU is still under warranty, please go to Corbell(Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10) and get a replacement unit. Usually, it's a new unit.

Anyway, just go and get a replacement from Corbell. Use it as spare.
