Im wondering what if I run out us$ cash and withdrawing money may come in handy if the retail store dont accept credit card.

Sent from Samsung SM-G920I using GAGT
This will be helpful for you:

Remember to activate your card for overseas use, and check if your bank will charge for overseas withdrawal service. When you withdraw, the amount you key in will be in the country's currency. So you estimate how much is it in SGD first.

So, yes, you can withdraw USD cash from most ATMs using your Singaporean credit or debit card. You really don't need to, though; the vast, vast majority of US businesses have no problem with credit cards.

I could not find a store not accepting credit card for 16 years I lived there and I left 5 years ago.

You got an idea.

My wallet is a car holder with just my driving license and credit cards. There are places that don’t accept though like Chinese restaurants, or buying seafood from fisherman at the pier so if going to those places have to prepare cash in advance.

Eligibility for ESTA will be based on country. So if the country you are from is under the visa waiver, you can apply for ESTA. When it is approved, you can just travel to US with the ESTA, no need visa cause already under waiver. So ESTA is somewhat like filling up an immigration card, just that you should get it done online before flying and not upon arrival.

Definitely. If you don't have a car, LA's going to be a huge pain; you're going to be spending zillions on Lyfts because LA's public transport is a shambles.

Patryn's asking whether you're planning to stay in the city itself, or visit things around that city as well (for example: if you're in San Francisco, you might want to head up to the wineries in Napa, or the cute little village of Half Moon Bay, or the Apple campus store for some swag).

thanks for the replies. I will heavily rely on public transport so i hope SF is a better choice than LA on this aspect.

Uber/lyft are part of public transport
How many days you plan on staying in the city?
Don’t really care what to do so long as bus or train gets you there?
