Your missus is right: do Niagara Falls from Toronto, not from NYC.

Have a look at a map. Niagara is only about an hour and a half's drive from downtown Toronto, but it's nearly seven hours' drive from NYC.

You can visit Niagara Falls from both sides not just the Canadian side.

What I’m reading here is you are asking how best to optimise your trip right? But you only provided very limited information.

Interestingly. I booked a car rental in Feb 2025. And when I revisited today, the price is over 200usd cheaper.

luckily my first booking was under flexi rate, free cancellation.

in case u are wondering, 1) exchange rate dropped from 1.33 to 1.30… 2) I even added extensive assistance. 3) the flex rate option only amounted to an extra US$3 for the whole booking. 4) I rebook with same dates, same locations, same details and addons

Ehh i also not sure, is just i travel east coast abit sian liao so now gt this opportunity to go the west coast i wan to extend my stay

1) originally plan for lake tahoe for gordon ramsey hells kitchen but from Seattle seems like quite a distance

2) i will be based in Seattle if i decide to extend

3) august is peak season right? I wanted to do some shopping and food as well

We like scenery but also like shopping, we quite enjoy our time in NYC and Toronto and visiting the Niagara falls previously.

Is roadtrip advisable? From Seattle to Portland fly to lake tahoe then back to Seattle or shld end at sfo

scenery tbh yosemite... but west coast is very long and you based in seattle. so depends whether you willing to travel the distance or you only plan to limit to a certain place in west coast

do you have constraints as to whether you have to fly in and out from the same place since for your own journey it will be covered by company i supposed? because that will likely answer the qns you are asking
