LV price France is cheaper else prices in USA is similar to Italy ESP those made in USA bags.

As for shopping or memories from places, u never know man.
My info friends just want to shop burn serious cash, no need pics to turn friends envy.
Shopping memories dearer than those scenic places.

They happy so be it, it's their life anyway. They have the freedom to do what they like

I think this is personal preference? I always prefer free n easy even with seniors and kids tagging along.

as long as you take care, normally safety is not a big concern. use common sense and don't want in dark places in middle of night, don't flash large sums of $ and jewelry etc

Which one's going to make your life richer? Which one's going to leave you with the best memories? (And c'mon - which one's going to make your friends turn green with envy when they see the photos?)

Seems here are some people who share the same passion as I do. :) Here is one photo taken (already) long time ago.

BTW, Utah probably is THE best place to go in the continental US to see the most unique nature.

Being a Californian, I've been in Utah and in the National Parks of the American West so many times that I lost count - last time I was in Zion NP was one month ago.

So if anyone is planning to go there, and want to know what to expect, feel free to to drop a PM. I'll try to help as much as I can.

P.S. If you want to go and see Alaska, feel free to ask too. I was crazy enough to drive on Dalton Highway once, 8 years ago...

Just do your own due diligence (and as questions beforehand), use common sense and should be no problem for worry.

In States (contrary to other places) there is invisible segregation across poverty and crime lines and unless you purposely go where you might end up in a trouble (Hunter's Point/Bay View in SF, East Oakland, South Central in LA, South Chicago, etc) your chances to get into trouble is quite low.

Definitely, definitely do it yourself.

If you're coming at year end, you want to stick to the warm bits - Hawaii, California, Arizona, Florida. But it's a piece of cake to fly in, rent a car, fire up Apple Maps and blast off down the road - and it's so much more fun than being dragged around as part of a tour group.

Don't worry about safety, either. America's very safe, except for a few parts of the big cities (parts that you'll never go to anyway). Just don't be a dickhead and you'll be fine; tell your missus to swap the Louis Vuitton bag and the Louboutins for a Timbuk2 bag and some comfortable sneakers.

thanks for all the feedback, guess will stick to tour since alot of place require tour to bring us and not very accessible unless we rent a car. Places like toronto from NY and the nigara fall.

u don't drive? it is not difficult to rent a car in the US. To Toronto/niagara Falls from NY, can take bus or plane if you don't want to rent a car. Or can join local tours in NY. Its not difficult at all. Depends on how much you want to save and plan.

U can talk Amtrak from NYC to Niagara and Toronto. Nothing much to see in Toronto anyway.
In NYC u don't need a car, don't see need for tour.
No need tour for Niagara too.

Which place not accessible? Safety issue is much like us going Malaysia. Don't let ppl scare u.

Saw this a bit too late..
Just came back from Vegas n NYC...

Did a drive up to grand crayon south rim and stayed overnight there. Magnificent view but the drive was a bit too boring on the way up.

Initial plan was to drive up to Niagara falls but after that drive to GC, decided to take a flight up...personally I think NF is a must visit attraction if u r in NYC...

Oh yeah.

Don't miss the Top of the Rock: it's better than the Empire State and usually less crowded.
The Intrepid Air & Space Museum is brilliant: it's got a space shuttle! A space shuttle sitting on an aircraft carrier!
Beg, borrow, steal, bribe your hotel concierge, do whatever you have to to get tickets to Book of Mormon. (Don't try going to the TKTS booth, though; there are never spare tix.)
Walk the High Line; it's a fantastic way to see Manhattan.

That's just a start. NYC is a brilliant city. If you just go there and spend the whole time shopping on Fifth Avenue, you're missing the point of NYC.

I had the rare opportunity to visit Utah too. In fact the tri-state area parks. AZ, UT and NV. But Utah is indeed the best.

Utah! Life Elevated!

Overview - Sidecar

I chanced upon this app which allow people to pick you up from Point A to Point B in some cities. Much like a private taxi service, but there's no fares and you decide how much you want to pay/donate to the user(via ur credit card). Drivers are vetted by the site so safety shouldnt be a problem.

I chatted with the CSO and they confirmed tourists are welcome to use it and intl credit card are accepted. :D

At present, its available in San Francisco , Los Angeles , Seattle, Chicago, Boston and Washington, D.C. Might be great for anyone intending to save on taxi fares.
