Michigan is not a ghetto. More than 200 Singapores would fit there and there would be room left over. The few ghettos, and there are very few are in Detroit. That city is in bankruptcy proceedings after too many years of giving city workers benefits it can no longer afford and the result of corrupt govt. paying millions to crony partners.
Outside of Detroit, Michigan offers 4 of the five Great Lakes, the worlds largsest supply of fresh water. Michigan is also a 4 season state, with snowy and sometimes cold winters, plenty of winter sports, a lovely and moderate spring when nature comes back to life, a short and not often hot summer, (30C is hot in that part of the world, people will wear shorts when it's 10C outside), fall is the season before winter where temperaturs slowly fall from the hot of summer to the cold of winter, nature puts on her annual explosion of colours as millions of trees offer thier leaves to all to see turning bright reds, yellow, oranges, purples and a few other colours for all to enjoy for a few weeks. Autum winds and rains eventually push and pull the leafs off and the first snow of winter singals the return of short days, cold nights and warm coats.
Tired of winter, one can drive to warmer places, Florida for example in two days of driving. In a hurry? One can fly to warm and sunny Florida in a 3 hour flight.
