Just a question, is any of the US set useable in Singapore since it's supposedly to be an unlocked set when you purchased off the Apple store with no contract.

Please advise.

If you are very sure it's an unlocked set, then yes you can use in Singapore

Yes US set can bring to SG to use. even thought you will only ultilize 1 band of LTE.

but the GSM will work fine.

While the US iPhone will work in Singapore, you will not get full LTE band support. You can connect to the local 1800 MHz band, but the US sets will not be able to connect to the 2600 MHz band here.

Our local set have a 2600Mhz which most of our telcos 4G LTE will be on island wide.

There is still the 1800Mhz 4G LTE frequency of course

Thank you. Though not thoroughly understanding with the LTE thingy but it seems in layman's term, US set will surf on a slower speed in SIN even though on 4G LTE compared to local set.

So as to speak, sale or resale value would be lower compared to local set too eh.

Like in orchard, congested network. They implement a Dualband 4G LTE so that user can hop onto the less congested 4G LTE bandwidth.

Lock set also can unlock easily, no diff actually when people mention the "lockness".
