Yes, I subscrIbe to that interpretation too. The war will facilitate the reserve currency change to the new currency. False peace can also be proclaimed. Looks like it will happen in our lifetime. Wonder who are the 2 beasts? Used to think they have to be young fellows but only recently realized older man with power to perform great signs may get more “buy-in”.
Oh Lord, highest praises to you God! May we have world peace and common prosperity for the next 60 years! Amen!

Its not the absolute amt of debt that matters, its the debt to gdp that matters. US debt/gdp is basically back at the record highs post WW2, a big chunk of the post WW2 debt was inflated away via negative real interest rates, this is why nobody believes the fed will be able to keep interest rates high for long, they will end up bankrupting themselves if they keep rates high.

Yesh. Inflation rise,
So interest rate rise to slow inflation,
So national debt payment rises because of interest rate,
So print more money to pay national debt,
So inflation rise because of money printing.

To the moon!!
I think it's the printing that caused such low interest rates in recent years. When banks are awashed with liquidity from printing, they lower interest rates to encourage you to borrow :s11: :vijayadmin:

Strange why the US dollar is still so strong.

If it was any other country with such debts, their currency would have plunged.

America is really lucky.

Japan's debt/gdp already over 200% for so many years, currency also never plunge, it only tanked recently due to fed hikes and a growing current account deficit (mostly due to elevated energy prices). This kind of thing can go on for very long if there are no triggers.

Glad to meet a fellow edmwer with same thinking :). I have no idea who they are, and likely will not be around by the time they are identified - raptured. Major economic upheaval on the horizon. Kinda happy the corrupting american influence on materialism may soon be diminished.

WASHINGTON - America's gross national debt exceeded US$31 trillion (S$44 trillion) for the first time on Tuesday, a grim financial milestone that arrived just as the nation's long-term fiscal picture has darkened amid rising interest rates.

Americans mostly own the debt. it is not excessive considering the value of the U.S. capital value of $225 Trillion. It seems to me that folks who are shocked by the numbers didn't realize we should score this debt in terms of how much it contributed to economic growth. If the debt is incurred for investment in infrastructure, protection, and husbandry of their natural resources, and the health and education of their human capital it doesn't seem too much. :s13:
