Get from amazon.
The shipping rate is rather affordable (about 4-5 bucks iirc and you get it within a week.)

But do you think you really need a USB Hub?
Sometimes the cost of a good hub doesn't really add up imo when you just need certain ports. It'll be better and more convenient to say get a USB-C to Lightning cable than have a dock just to charge your device.

If you're getting something like the Satechi dock, you'll need to detach it before you can keep your macbook in a case

Thanks for the information. I would go for the hub as the ports mentioned are required. The concern is the warranty and and exchange process if faulty.

Would not mind getting a local product if there are recommended ones

I believe satechi USB-C hub is the best in terms of features and quality. Even the price is reasonable when getting from amazon! Black Friday is coming so wait a bit if you can.

Looks good . How’s the warranty matter? International ? Seems like there isn’t any local agent

I have the Satechi usb-C hub when I bought my 12” MacBook a year ago. It has served me well and never had issues with it.

I got mine shipped from Amazon too. For such hubs I don’t think reliability is a major concern

There are a few good Lenovo USB C hubs selling on Lazada. Pricing quite competitive.

Anyone use one before?

I'm looking at this model with all the possible ports. S$109

Gets very hot for me.
Now using dodocool for my MacBook Pro 15.
Other more established ones include satechi and hyperdrive.

I bought this from amazon, but yet to receive it.
https://www.amazon.com/VAVA-Adapter..._rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=S0R7NARHC9GK1XAQ5K54

There was a voucher deal that brought the price down to USD$34 though which I found on kinja. Wirecutter seems to rate it quite well if you trust that site.

Got my hub earlier this week. Works well, HDMI connection is stable.
Only thing is that the hub gets hot when charging my laptop via the usbc hub. Overall, quite happy with it for under S$60 with delivery from Amazon US.

anybody facing this issue?

I bought a USB C hub with 4 USB3.0 ports, connected to my MBP 2017.
I'm able to plug in my android phone to charge (via USB-A to microUSB) but it wont read my thumbdrive (USB-A) or charge my iPhone (via USB-A to lightning)

despite changing the port which the USB Hub is connected to..
