USD Fixed Deposit rates (0.8%)

Hi all,

I see that some of the local banks are havign a promo on USD fixed deposit rates.

DBS - 0.8% (350K USD fresh funds) for 3 months
OCBC - 0.8% for 4 months (minimum 5 USD)
UOB - 0.8% for 3 months (50K USD in fresh funds)
Citibank Citigold - 0.8% for 3 months (50K SGD minimum)

Seems like quite a good promo considering the current low interest rates for USD.

Anyone knows any other better USD fixed deposit interest rates?

three months ago none of the banks welcome USD deposit. HSBC even offer me with 0%, time for USD to start appreciate

an accelerate of rate indicated the USD sign of strength. Not worth putting in long term on a FD of 1% per annum. The FED will begin its monthly tapper from beginning of next year till end and once the USD crossed 1.30, it's about 5% spread from current holding. Just hoping
