Hardware looks OK. Just look at PCT or Fuwell pricelist and compare/add up the individual parts and you'll know roughly the cost. Also depends if the rig is new, or second hand (used how long etc.)

The rig has been built 4 months ago. All the parts still has warranty. There is no OS though.

The point is 1.7k can get brandnew already ( although is not oc enable) , why u wanna risk to get a oced & used one , and btw is evga gtx 970 warranty covered in sg ? i rather get asus man if paying that kind of price

Is worth it now. I think need about 1.8k-1.9k if get all from pcthemes. Now buy online no promo so hard to get this price. But you must know that the Gpu warranty is at taiwan.

No incentive for them to get all at 1.7k. Prolly get lowballed like mad

Sell separately higher chance it will fetch a higher price if you sell by part

Cpu mobo - 500-600
Gpu - 400
SSD - 100
HDD - 50
Fans - 40
Ram - 150
Psu - 120?
Cpu cooler - 100

of course if he is able to build a pc himself, then its not worth it.

do consider the time to scourge the net for promo price, visiting sls and bargain like hell..collecting info...building the pc..troubleshooting...

i dont think you can get this kind of price from any off-the-shelf dekstop (aftershock, alienware, asus etc)

1.7k for a brandnew i5 + gtx970 u didnt even need bargain ( somemore got xtra $$ back) , alienware is way overpriced ,90% of pc builder already know this , totally no fight vs Diy price and performance

diff spec and its gtx 770?

I get your point.

If you wanted to earn the money, you can build TS a new computer and sell him 1.7k with the exact same spec as TS mention, then why not.

win-win situation, u earn money...he get new (instead of used) pc with exactly same hardware

We're talking about exactly same spec as he mentioned. It doesnt matter if he want to oc or not..

just saying, get the above item, build 1 and send to his house. you earn 1.7k. fair enough? :D

I agree with what most are saying but I suggest u ask for a lower price. Maybe try asking nicely or if that fails reason with he or get saying that at this price it really isn't that much cheaper. Second hand always bobian must drop price one even if never touch before the pc.

I didnt wan to debate with u as i feel ur pc knowledge is not my lvl , since ts create a thread ask for suggestion i already given my best advise . To buy or not buy is not my problem , i already mention the main point is = ''u dun need a overclock cpu to play game , 1.7k already can buy brandnew 6600(non-oc)+ gtx 970 sytem ( his gtx970 is no warranty laigi LOL)

If I were to build the exact same specs from PC themes sans the GPU, it will cost roughly around 1.8k (GPU not included). In my opinion, 1.7k is slightly on a high side that is why I am still thinking about it. I will try to lower if possible. What I know is that for the exact same spec, we surely won't be able to get at 1.7k brand new.

As for unlocked processor, it is designed to overclock so it must be able to withstand vigorous overclocking but as far as I know, my colleague is not that kind of person to overclock and that rig was an impulse purchase.
