After seeing all the new RTX cards prices and bencmarks, i'm leaning more over to used cards mainly the 1080ti as the new 2070 and used 1080ti are around the same priced with the 1080ti performing better.

Is there anything i should take note of when purchasing used cards?
Thanks in advance :)

go for local warranty set with either receipt or distro sticker on the card.

Distro sticker is on the box itself. Example, banleong is a round sticker and will says how many years warranty.

Check the tamper proof sticker on the gpu itself, usually on a screw. If it's broken means the gpu has been dismantles before.

Check for any sign of heavy rust or burnt mark or anything.

Tally the serial num against the box / receipt. But take note that many local shop receipt does not show the serial number. Just a simple description.

Lastly email the respective Distro to enquire about the warranty left if u really want.

You referring to Zotac gpu? Someone had this issue before whereby his zotac box came in korean language. Turns out that the distro imported from Korean counterpart to serve for SG demands and they are able to accept RMA for it.

Perhaps, best way is to check your serial number with distro directly to confirm?

If zotac, yes. Sent my 1070ti for fan repair before. Also with Korean sticker.
