Under sustained loads, doesn’t cool overclocked CPUs as well as normal AIOs

Peltiers arent new. I recall they were popular in the 90-2000s. But same problem occur back then too. Overclocked CPUs easily consume over 100W under load and there is no way a 60-80W peltier can cool the CPU.

Although cooler master uses a 200W one this time, 10-16 core CPUs can use alot more when overclocked. So, its not going to cool it sufficiently.

For the price, better to go custom cooling. I think the dumb thing is that the AIO needs to cool both the Peltier and the CPU at the same time basically negates any benefit of the Peltier in the first place. The cooler itself is asking for a 8 pin PCI-E power which it can easily draw 150W assuming it maxes out at 150W because it can draw more if I am not wrong. The review mentioned up to 200W. So the AIO is now tasked to cool a 250W CPU with a 200W Peltier, and the CPU is stock without OC. Once OCed, its possible to hit above 250W easily. I think one is better off just using a 240 AIO just for the CPU, and you may get better thermals.

Hit our shores alrdy. Saw it at PCThemes for 569 MSRP. Still affordable, but doubt it's durability.

But Peltier kaput within 3 months of daily usage. Reckon will not be more than 12 months for ml360's fate as well, considering this price.

Pricing is better than my expectations, but durability sounds worst than what I expected based on your experience.

For me, water cooling is as far as I will go to keep my hardware cool. To me, I won't dare to go for this sorts of chilling solution because of condensation that may potentially kill the electronics if the water comes into contact with it.

Wow! $569 for AIO cooler.... cost even more than 5600x and 10700K!!
