Hey guys, I'll be changing my phone next month, but i'm having a dilemma. Why? At first I was quite inclined in getting note3, but after using ipad air, for almost 4 days, I'm in love with apple products and with iOS. :s34: so now i'm planning to get a ip5s.

but, the problem is, as my ipad air is wifi, i will need my phone to be able to tether/hotspot for my wifi ipad to use the connection, so i'm wondering, does ip5s have the battery life to use it as a hotspot? not for long, but maybe 2 hours tops on a weekend when i'm out with my girl.

Hope to get you guy's inputs. :D

I don't have an iPad Air but the mini, and have been using my previous 4S as personal hotspot for it and now 5s. Juice wise no problem and I use it everyday for at least 45mins to an hr and charge my mini once every alternate day.

In addition to that, I also use my mini for others such as games and reading the news, all using personal hotspot. Phone wise, I still charge it once everyday and after the end of the day, still have at least 60% batt.

lol ya still have juice. think 1hr of tethering about 10-15% of battery life.

also depends on how you use ma. like your 3G/4G signal etc.

A portable charger solves the problem :)

I see. Thank you so much for your kind inputs. :s13: that's really nice to know that ip5s got the juice to use for tethering. :s12:

Yes there's sufficient power for tethering but of cos also depends on how's yr usage style, whether graphical intensive or not. These too affect batt life especially if watching videos. :)

i think the question should be,, does your data plan can last that long for hotspot? not the battery life..
