Using iTunes credit for iCloud plan

Does anyone know if I can use a US iTunes credit to pay for iCloud upgrade? my apple id is based in singapore.

AFAIK, US iTunes credit only works on US Stores.

from what I can remember, you cannot switch store when credit is not yet fully used.

last time I buy a 10% discount itunes $50 gift card in 7-11 here in sg. redeemed it, and is now paying my icloud subscription.
