actually happy with this arrangement so we can only use prompt pay on registered business. acceptance level is much higher in bangkok, able to prompt pay even to street vendor in on nut
For official stores etc. definitey not an issue, one most likely face issue for night markets etc.

Just came back from Krabi. PayLah just won’t scan Promptpay QR when vendor is not business registered. Pretty annoying actually but i guess it’s for safety purposes. Stick to cash!
Yeah my experience is the same. So paylah does not work if the qr code is a personal qr code. The problem is that you wouldn't know it is a personal qr code, until you actually scan it. So this is an unadvertised limitation of using their qr codes.

personal QR will have account number / name at bottom while Business QR will have company name

anyway just be patient, will take time before they could be roll out to rest of cities.

FYI, I just tried yesterday buying BTS single ticket using QR. although the screen is not showing promptpay but something like Thai QR, I just tried and it is working.
Dbs: exchange rate 1 - 24.69
Ocbc: exchange rate 1 - 24.64

definitely more common in BKK. just needs more time to roll out to other provinces
