Hey guys,

Sorry, if lets say I want to just buy ETFs (vanguard etfs), can i buy them on Stand Chart? If not what is the best platform to get exposure to alot of vanguard etfs?

Is is worthwhile to go for an all index investing play? Just spread it across different ETFs to create my portfolio.

What do i look out for in ETF investing? expense ratio? anything else?

thanks in advance.

Standard Chartered suits your needs. Depending on your trading size, you mught want to consider US brokers such as thinkorswim or interactive brokers. I started with SCB due to its favourable no min commission, losing out on the bid ask spread on exchange rates. But as my trading size grew, I found that it would be more beneficial to make the switch to IB in the long run.

Hope this helps. ya :)

Platform is decent for you to buy and sell, and I think this suits you cos you're intending to trade mid to long term ya?

Yes rates are not spot interbank rates you get with IB but if you have a small-mid trading account, the difference is minimal. and what more, you have no min comm!

Can you share what do you trade in? Why ib instead of think or swim or saxo?

No custodian/hidden fees.low commissions. Am able to trade in US market without converting my sgd to usd. IB commissions are lower than both tos and saxo I assume, although the technology in tos is second to none.
