Pop the VCDs into your PC's DVD/CD player. Download this old program VCD Gear and use it to convert your VCDs into mp4. You can then burn the mp4s onto a DVD or save in a thumb drive etc.

If the VCDs have rotted (as all VCDs and DVDs will eventually), then I'm afraid little can be done.

both cant read :(

Try cleaning the VCDs with a disk repair kit. If that does not work, you can try to read using a blu-ray drive (the laser frequency is different). If that does not work either, it looks like professional recovery is your only option.

when you mentioned both can't read, on the dvd/vcd player part I understand. But when you put into a PC, you don't see any files listed under "Windows Explorer"/Windows Explorer states that the disc is empty or you tried to play using Windows media player?
