Verbal Abusive G.M

Hi everyone, Just wondering if its possible to complain to MOM regarding Verbal abusive from the G.M?

-Keep asking workers to go fly their kite.
-Keep insulting workers stupid, Useless people, Rubbish people in front of them and also to customers.

Just asking for some opinion on how to solve this issue, it's not about me but just helping out some of my colleague because i just cannot stand such barbarian behavior during work. Too demoralizing

If its a big company, take evidence and submit it internally and anonymously. If it is a small company, just move on with life.

I don't think complaining to MOM will help seriously.

2k a month. Actually very big and not very small. Just that we branch out to many countries. Locally only got 15 workers including general workers. But we got branches at Cambodia, Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia.

not possible to do anything by informing MOM

best is not to do anything and find another job if u really dun like it.

really not much u can do
if u go to mom, BEST CASE SCENARIO.
ur mgmt will be pressured to ask the mgr to apologize to u guys.

after that apology, u guys will get more shiet.

plus for job security, u will not hv anyone who are willing to be ur witness if ur mgmt asks for more ppl to verify

Somebody posted a video and got the supervisor into lots of trouble. Abusive behavior is not to be accepted in our society not matter what is the reason.

That's why its good to uphold one's own GOOD CHARACTER: be thrifty (save $$$ so U can spend more time upgrading and getting the right job fit). Now tt U are in job, depends on what U think U can achieve out of it (for yourself and society if U can afford it)- just leave n find new job if your life does not depend on it.

Always have good relationship with your co workers (suss out the company purpose and culture before joining the company- a highly moral company (e.g. MNC/ charity will usually be quite conscious about its brand/ reputation))- if it is the manager who is out of line and the rest of your co-workers think the same- then U should complain (better still with video footage) to his superiors after perhaps having some negotiations with the manager concerned.

All MNCs will surely be conscious about any hard evidence about the ill-discipline amongst its managers.

Also ask around (friends in similar jobs) if their bosses are like that- complain if your boss is really over the top- but if you are just new in a unique high stress 'professional' job tt is quite well paid- lawyer, engineer, Dr etc, then maybe bo-pian- the issue might be a professional/ nationwide one.

It's like that.. Most unsavory characters made their way into SMEs.

MNCs(esp. Western organisation) will find lesser of such people 'coz their way of handling people will never gain favour with western management.

I also got culture shock when I join a SME recently.

Sometimes the SME have to ask themselves.. Always complain singaporeans got attitude problem.. or not willing to work hard..

But you go ask yourself.. If I can get the same pay, great benefits and lesser jobscope in MNC as compared to SME.. WHY THE FK. I WANT TO STAY WITH SME and be subjected to your abuse? ..

that said.. I am staying because I want to prove one point ... I can do the job, but I will quit once I proved that. 6months!

Yes. I got job offer for $1.5k higher after joining the company for 1 month.

But I am staying because of my own principle. I want to prove I can do it and then I quit. Lol.. Double the damage.. they will find they got the correct employee but they cannot retain him . ... and they have to spend time hiring another one and then have to wait for him to be competent in the job again.
