Hi all,

Recently i purchased a ticket on behalf of my sibling to Bangkok scheduled to depart on the 15th Feb, Arrival 17th Feb. In the input she typed wrongly and put arrival as 17th Mar.

Knowing her mistake i called scoot, which directed me to a call centre in Manila. After listening and getting confused by the operator's request to change both dates, incurring both change flight costs , I firmly asked the operator to change only the arrival date to 17th Feb.

Upon paying and cnfirmation, to my horror, she changed my departure as 17th Feb , leaving the 17th March unchanged !?

I promptly dialled in to Scoot to investigate , with the voice logs as my backing. However, after two days of waiting, Scoot did not call me back as promised . I called in , and to my horror again, my claim was rejected on the grounds that I confirmed with the operator that the arrival as 17th March and only change departure.

Ive fiercely asked for the voice log to be sent to me and to follow up , or by going down to Scoot to investigate , but the "supervisor" stand in claimed that they cannot divulge the Scoot headquarter location, nor the voice logs and that their call centre is only in Manila.

Ive since paid 75 for the last booking change and now they are adamant that i pay up another 150 to reticfy the whole booking. Im indignant that this was not a fault of mine to bear and i m hoping the bros here have any idea what to do?

Not trying to be funny or offensive, but this is catch when dealing with budget airlines. They operate on such a tight schedule/budget/rules, that it makes them unattractive, other than the cheap airfares.

You should have known that they do not allow free changes of travel plans, whether it was a genuine mistake of keying in the wrong dates or you decide to change your mind.

Solution......pay the fees and get everything sorted out. Alternatively, you can secure another airfare equivalent to the fees for booking changes.
