Very large System Reserved partition after disk clone

Hi all, need some help
Recently I tried to migrate my desktop 1 TB HDD to a Intel 530 SSD, after a few failed attempt ( boot disk not found), finally succeeded once.

However when I checked disk management , I noticed the cloning process added a 8GB "System Reserved" partition on my SSD

usually a SR partition should be only 100-300 Mb in size.

details of my disk clone:

Win 7
source disk - 1TB HDD 2 partition - OS 220 gb / free space 700 gb
target disk- SSD 240GB
clone software - Todo backup Advanced Server
Disk clone option used

Is this 8GB "System Reserved" partition found in the 1TB HDD?

no. there is only a 100MB SR partition in the source 1TB HDD

It's reserved for hibernation under Intel Rapid Start. It's possible to recover the space but I hate messing with partitions so I just left it as it is.

Todo has this optimisation for SSD feature among others so I gave it a try
it will perform the alignment or some sort lol

There's a reason why Intel gives you the software. Besides, Intel would've included all the necessary tweaks that Todo already has

downloaded the intel software
reluctant to try becos it is a stripped dwn version of Acronis true image software.
I tried acronis , nearly gave me a heart attack . It was suppose to shut down my pc so tat I can reconnect my ssd as the boot ssd instead it rebooted my pc with both mine hdd and ssd both still inside my system. lol i dun want it to happen and cost my source hdd to be corrupted

i used acronis so many times.... dint have any issues. i suggest trying the intel provided software, or a fresh install

You tried acronis or the intel version of acronis? And what you meant by the bolded part?

acronis version . when the cloning is near completion, there was a option to shut down the pc. I clicked it..
to my horror the pc was not shut down for me to remove source hdd and put the ssd onto the same port for the hdd.
Instead it restarted with hdd and ssd still inside

That restart was a risk as it can cause my hdd os to ne corrupted ...thats why I worried abt using acronis.Easeus todo cloning dun have this mishap :3

Alr told you to use the Intel one you still don't want to use. If you had gotten a Samsung instead, would you still have thrown Magician aside?

I don't see a reason why your source HDD would've been corrupted anyway - correct me if I am wrong
