Very Light laptop recommendation

Using Gram 14. Light with necessary ports, good for traveling. My laptop is already 2+ yrs and currently looking for another light laptop which has better battery.

I used to think the Gram 14 was light, until I picked up the UH-X, which made the Gram 14 feel heavy.

Which brings the point. Light is subjective. Just 5 years ago, anything less than 1.4kg would be considered light. Then the 1kg laptops became more prominent about 3y back. So mainstream manufacturers like Acer try to aim for 1.2kg or so, while Fujitsu went wild with less than 800g (U937/938 is 799g), and I seem to recall a 751gram laptop (full i5 with full ports, not some budget processor).

Nice... I am looking for an alternative to my Gram but with better battery. Will go for next gen AMD instead of intel for battery.

How's the flex on the body any improvement? Moi feel weird with mushy body and keyboard for super light ones, last tried like 3-4 years ago though.

I bought the Huawei X Pro premium edition. In many ways, it was better than Macbook Pro and Macbook Air which I had used long-term, except the battery life due to the Intel CPU (the cons). Thankfully, there's fast charging and small mobile sized like charger. The trackpad feels like Mac trackpad plus some additional gesture features. The screen looks amazing and vibrant, and the keypad have a soft nice touch.

Other than that, it's just the diff between Mac and PC. This laptop is a top engineering hardware.

bought this at the CEE at $1,499 even though new gen of Copilot + laptops are coming soon. Those new features like Recall aint must wait features to me.

2 TB4, 2 USB 3.2, 1 x HDMI 2.1, 1 earphone jack, SD card reader. Wifi 7. 32gb ram. 1TB SSD. OLED 120hz.
Intel Evo fast charge. 1.6kg light! ticks almost everybox i can think of!.....and 1.2kg vs 1.6kg is literally negligible mah, unless 400g feels like 40kg? kekeke.

The only downside i can think of i that its using intel ARC, which is at best an entry or mid range GPU? not meant for heavy load gaming. but if not really into gaming, i think this laptop is the most value for money model available i can find recently!.....

went to find the best denki ppl who gave a namecard at the start, replied initially but then later ignored and say its last day of the show, not free, go acer support. kns...all the sales ppl in the world are the same. b4 sales made everythg is the best in the world....after sales made, dont care liao. wont go back to buying from best denki ever....but acer / asus are really the best choices to me...skip lenvo, dell, hp!

Small comment, 1.6kg for 16-inch laptop is not exactly "very light", the title of this thread. Just for reference, there are 16-inch models which are 1.2kg

edit: but just discovered minor issue.....when loading a lot of pictures, some would not show the previews on file explorer, which is a little troublesome!......ok, now found possible issue, the picture previews not showing were converted from other formats...but there are no issue on my old laptop.

yah, thou its not below 1kg or what, but its v future proof in my opinion, which is what i like. provided can use 5 or more years and not spoil. hahahaha

lighter size also need to trade off in terms of lower battery capacity, fewer ports, or heat dissipation not good enough etc.

I have the UH-X. Honestly feels solid to me. typing etc is okie. u dun feel like it will bend or break unless you really try hard lol.

1.6kg really isnt counted light. agreed with you. even dual screen laptop like Asus Zenbook Duo that I bought recently is 1.6kg.
