VGA, HDMI, DisplayPort, mini-DisplayPort

[greatgreenman]

Does it really matter which one you use? Do you get better fps or anything? My current monitor doesn't have any HDMI input so I'm using a MDP to VGA adapter..

I use DVI-D as it has minimal input lag compared to HDMI. And my korean monitor only has DVI anyway.

However I will soon migrate to DisplayPort when I get a new monitor as DVI is slowly being phased out.

[Krabs.]

vga is analog signal

dvi hdmi are digital signal , better color accuracy and computer auto sense the resolution

Time to change your monitor if your gpu has Mini DP output and your monitor is still on VGA

LOL, I would like to see how much misinformation there can be in a single thread!

Vga = Analog
The rest = Digital
Hdmi or DP can transfer sound

If you want 4k 60hz or above need higher version of hdmi or dp?
